Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Reborn (2020)

Welcome to the new world of TMNT!

After the cataclysmic events of “City At War,” the Turtles find New York City drastically changed–new factions and enemies are on the rise, and allies are in short supply. The Turtles discover that in order to survive they will need to work together like never before, but when they find themselves separated, Old Hob decides to fill the power vacuum with some very unusual mutants: Zanna, Mushroom, and Zink!

Notes on This Title

One of the focal characters of this series is Jennika, a queer woman who has been mutated into a turtle. She is in a relationship with Sheena, a woman who has been mutated into a pig. Puggle and Bandit, two mutant men who are in a romantic relationship, are minor antagonists, while Jay, a queer man who was mutated into a frog, is a minor supporting character.

“Sophie Campbell did not have an easy job stepping up to take over Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles after Tom Waltz’s legendary run on the series. Which makes the fact that Campbell has been able to take on as writer and artist on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles without missing a beat that much more impressive.” (Source: Comic Book Revolution)
